Jason Eric Guerra is a tried and true civil litigator and trial attorney who is rated among the Top 10% of all attorneys in the United States. He is also only among 6% of all licensed attorneys who identify as Latino within the Golden State despite Latinos comprising 36% of the adult population in California.

Mr. Guerra represents diverse individuals and businesses from all sectors of society and across all cultures within the firm's core litigation practice areas. He also serves as outside General Counsel to various businesses, including law firms, staffing agencies, restaurants, logistics companies, non-profit organizations, manufacturers, contractors, homeowners, among others, and frequently provides ongoing advice and counsel regarding corporate and human resources matters.

Mr. Guerra's legal training involves prosecuting multimillion dollar Plaintiff-side legal malpractice cases against negligent (and some famous) attorneys, which continues to be the foundational basis for his highly regarded litigation skills. His unique professional experience further provides the basis for his ability to handle factually and procedurally complex matters while usually coming out on top on behalf of clients.

Even though Mr. Guerra’s lawyering style has been dubbed “unorthodox” by some, it is consistently followed by praise from Clients for his ability to achieve good outcomes and getting the job done. In a centuries-old legal system rooted in precedent, Mr. Guerra’s progressive approach to the practice of law has served his clients’ interests well through delivering quality work product and routinely obtaining favorable results which is testament to his effective style. Even during the pandemic, Mr. Guerra was able to attain achievements across all phases of litigation.

Amid the pandemic through 2022, Mr. Guerra conducted a record number of depositions (with a significant minority requiring ex parte motions for discovery orders compelling attendance) and through effective examinations secured critical evidence to successfully overcome dispositive motions thereby negating projected liability in various protracted, multi-party litigation of “first impression” from millions of dollars to nuisance value settlements.

In November 2021, Mr. Guerra also conducted a highly contentious employer defense jury trial at Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Downtown Los Angeles that resulted in a nuisance value resolution mid-trial thereby saving his clients half a million dollars in liability exposure. On behalf of the joint employer defendants, Mr. Guerra’s trial skills proved too much for opposing counsel, managing partner of a mid-size firm, who received an earful from his client during trial and the case was resolved shortly thereafter. Mr. Guerra has since then successfully tried other civil actions to verdict and maintains a winning record.               

Mr. Guerra earned his undergraduate degree in political science with concentration in economics from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and law degree from Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law.
